Advantages Of Diesel Engines
If you wanted to own a new car powered by a diesel engine or if you own one now, you no doubt appreciate the qualities this engine provides you with. More torque, better fuel economy, and easier maintenance are but a few of the attributes of owning diesel powered vehicles . However, there are some motorists that still complain about the engine’s weak power, especially when accelerating from a full stop. What you may not be aware of is the fact that a diesel engine can be tweaked to give more power without harming the fuel economy . New diesel engines cars use air compression to create combustion versus the fuel/air mixture that is required by gas engines. This attribute means that diesel engines don’t require spark plugs and therefore don’t need to be tuned up . Diesel fuel has a much high fuel density than gas, which results in fuel economy increases of 20 - 30% over gasoline powered vehicles . Diesel engines are also cheaper to maintain as they have less parts than that of a gasoline powered engine. The life span of a diesel engine is also much longer . If you’re looking for torque, for pulling a boat or other equipment, then the diesel engine has the supreme advantage. Diesel engines are surely slower, especially when starting from a dead stop, although when you climb hills or go over bridges, the diesel engine is surely up to the task . With new trucks, diesel is normally the leader over gas engines in terms of performance and miles per gallon. Diesel trucks will get more miles than gas trucks, and the price for diesel is a bit cheaper than gas these days . And with gas prices on the rise, diesel will continue to dominate for a long time to come . http://www.new-carpurchase.blogspot.comDiesel engines are also cheaper to maintain as they have less parts than that of a gasoline powered engine.

Crude Oil: Black Gold or Black Menace?
With all the publicity nowadays surrounding the price of Crude Oil, I resolved to write an enlightening article on the backdrop of the so-called “Black Gold.” I’ll briefly go over history, environmental effects, pricing and the future of the thick black sludge that is coveted by every major economy in the world. Hopefully you can reach a better point of view on the subject. The history of Crude Oil is too immense to discuss in this brief editorial so I will limit it to a general overview. The first oil wells were drilled in China in the 4th century. They where as much as 243 meters deep and were drilled utilizing drill bits attached to bamboo poles. The contemporary history of crude began in 1846, with the breakthrough of the process of refining kerosene from coal by Atlantic Canada’s Abraham Pineo Gesner. The first rock oil mine was built in Bobrka, Poland the following year. These breakthroughs rapidly spread around the world, and Meerzoeff built the first Russian refinery in the mature oil fields at Baku in 1861. James Miller Williams in Oil Springs, Ontario, Canada in 1858, excavated the first commercial oil well drilled in North America. The American petroleum industry commenced with Edwin Drake’s discovery of oil in 1859, near Titusville, Pennsylvania. The industry matured slowly in the 1800s, driven by the demand for kerosene and oil lamps. It became a major national business in the early part of the 20th century. With the introduction of the internal combustion engine came a need that has largely sustained the industry to this day. While we all need to get to work in some way or another, rarely does anyone consider the environmental effects of the fuel that powers our mode of transportation. Yes we know that the emissions from are cars, buses and trains have a green house effect on our delicate environment; but what about the rest of our ecology? Oil extraction is costly and occasionally environmentally detrimental, although Dr. John Hunt from the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution revealed in a 1981 paper that over 70% of the reserves in the world are associated with visible macroseepages, and numerous oil fields are found due to natural leaks. Offshore exploration and extraction of oil agitates the encompassing marine environment. Exploration could call for dredging, which stirs up the sea bottom, stamping out the ocean plants that nautical creatures need to survive. Not to mention the typical Crude Oil and refined fuel spills from tanker ship accidents. All of these factors have tainted frail ecosystems all over the world. Petroleum products are priced like most commodities: supply and demand. While this may sound simple, the actual start to finish process can be a lot more complex subject. References to oil prices are generally related to the spot price of either WTI/Light Crude as traded on New York Mercantile Exchange (NYMEX). Priced by the barrel, Crude Oil is rapidly becoming the most costly commodity on the market (second only to Gold). Oil pricing is extremely reliant on both its grade and location. The vast majority of oil will not be traded on an exchange but on an over-the-counter basis, typically with reference to a standard crude oil grade that is quoted via a pricing agency such as Argus Media Ltd or Platts. It is often claimed that OPEC arranges the oil price and the real monetary value of a barrel of oil is in the area of $2, which is equivalent to the cost of extraction of a barrel in the Middle East. These appraisals of costs disregard the cost of finding and developing oil reserves. You can’t talk about the future of oil without talking about the “Hubbert Peak” oil theory. This hypothesis depicts the long-term rate of production of conventional oil and other fuels. It assumes that oil reserves are not replenishable. It also predicts that future world oil production must unavoidably reach a crest and then decline as these reserves are exhausted. Like every other theory of any importance it is highly controversial. “When will the Oil actually start to run out?” is the big question. No matter how you look at it, our society needs to concentrate more efforts on either alternative fuels or more fuel-efficient modes of transportation. While I’m sure that the oil won’t peter out in my life time I would like to think we can leave this world a better place for future generations. In closing, I hope this article has given you a better understanding of the topic and made you a more informed consumer. So the next time your grumbling at the price of gas, at least you’ll understand what you re complaining about.
5 Tips On Making Your Car More Fuel Efficient
With gas prices sky high most individuals who drive are interested in ways they can make their car more fuel efficient and save as much money as possible. While there are no fuel saving tips that will keep your car full of gas without filling up, there are some tips that really can help you save money on fuel over the long run. All of these tips focus on making your car more fuel efficient. Fuel Efficiency Tip #1 Drive When You Crank Up This might seem obvious, but as soon as you crank up your car you should drive off. However, many people crank up and leave the car idling for a while. Instead of this, when you crank up drive off and only keep your car running when it is absolutely necessary. Fuel Efficiency Tip #2 Don’t Ride the Break Many drivers hit the break more often than is necessary. Additionally there are quite a few drivers that slow down for a braking car when they could easily switch lanes. Not riding the break can increase your fuel efficiency by up to 30%, so this is a great tip you should follow. Fuel Efficiency Tip #3 Turn Off Your Car If you are going to be stopping for more than 10 minutes you should switch off your car to keep fuel efficiency at its peak and not burn more gas than is necessary. Fuel Efficiency Tip #4 Don’t Turn Off Your Car If you are only stopping for a brief moment or less than 5 minutes then don’t turn off your car because the amount of gas used to crank up is more than you would burn in that short period of time. Fuel Efficiency Tip #5 Inflate Tires Properly Too many drivers never think of their tires, unless one goes flat. However, having tires that are properly inflated can save fuel and make your car more fuel efficient, saving you money. Because of this, you should check your tire pressure on a regular basis. While gas prices don’t seem like they will be dipping considerably in the next few months every tip to help you make your car more fuel efficient is helpful. So, follow the above fuel tips and you will see that over time your car really is more fuel efficient.
Is there Kentucky Fried Fuel in your Future?
Thanks to a weird marriage between the National Renderers Association, the people who turn animal fat into useful products, and the Environmental Protection Agency’s Office of Air Quality Planning and Standards , there is a possibility that your car could be burning chicken or other animal fat in the next few years. That’s because these two agencies have been working together to advance the development of petroleum-based fuel alternatives known as “biofuels”. According to a jointly issued report, yellow grease, lard, recycled cooking fat, and other animal-derived products have been shown in tests to perform as an acceptable alternative to fossil fuels. So far the fatty fuels have been tested in boilers, trucks, busses, and some automobiles. The results have been pretty impressive. In fact, the EPA has issued guidelines for companies who want to convert to biofuel to run their factories, power generating plants, and diesel engines. The guidelines spell out what fuels can be replaced by biofuels and what incentives the government is offering to those who take the leap. You can read the guidelines here at the EPA site (http://www.epa.gov/ttn/oarpg/t3ed.html). None of this alternative fuel talk has escaped the attention of the automobile manufacturers, big oil companies, or environmental groups. Everyone is looking at the possibilities in order to find a way to make some money when all is said and done. Some people are doing more than looking, however. One school district in Georgia is running their school busses on chicken fat, and some trucking companies are converting their diesel engine to burn vegetable oil. It all seems to be working out quite well. Of course, there will probably be a vegetable shortage next, and we’ll see Crisco hitting $5.00 per tub! Although it’s not likely that your next off-the-lot car will have “finger licking good” exhaust fumes, there is a great need to develop fossil fuel alternatives. Researchers aren’t just working with animal renderings and vegetable oil either. Experimental research is being conducted with hay and agricultural wastes as well. Even chicken “droppings” are getting burned. Some companies are developing conversion kits that will let ordinary gasoline engines run on animal fat or vegetable oil. The average cost for a conversion kit runs around $1,000, but the savings can add up pretty quickly when you consider that many restaurants are giving away their used fry grease for free. The main problem is finding ways to produce good mileage results and developing engines that are able to handle the effects of non-petroleum fuels. These aren’t overwhelming problems, but they still must be addressed before biofuels become mainstream. And for the conspiracy theory fans among us, there is always the possibility that “big oil” will do everything it can to stop biofuels from replacing their coveted black gold. While having to scrounge around for buckets of fat, or scraping road kill from the Interstate might slow down your travel plans, there will come a time when biofuels will be flowing from your neighborhood service stations as freely as grease from a fried chicken platter.

Finding BMW Spares Can Be Easy
BMW is a well established brand in the automotive industry. This makes finding BMW spares easier for the back yard mechanic. The local breaker or salvage yard is a great place to start looking for that special part you might need. There are all kinds of undiscovered treasures lurking inside the gates of these facilities. Even better, the price of the salvage parts is usually much less than from other sources. There are some things to think about when you decide to purchase a BMW spare that is salvaged. Most important is the safety of the part. Anything structural should probably be purchased new. It is hard to tell what kind of microscopic damage could have happened during whatever accident brought the original car to the salvage. When it comes to safety, play it safe. Pay the extra money to purchase from a reputable dealer. An added bonus is that new purchases often come with a warranty. BMW spares can also be bought on the cheap over the internet. Online auction sites, like EBay, often offer the one part you must have. To save guard your investment in these parts, check the history of the seller. It is usually a good idea not to buy big ticket items from a seller you don t know. Buying BMW spares, or any automotive spares, online can also get you with hidden costs. Shipping and handling for the heavy parts can sometimes run more than the part itself. Search around, read the fine print, and compare the total cost with something you could get locally. You may be surprised to find out that local is actually the least expensive way of doing business. Because of the popularity of some automobiles, it is usually easy to find cars to fix up and the parts to do it with. BMW spares can be found online at shops, online at auction sites, and locally at breakers and salvage yards. Look around and find the best price for the part you need. She has written various articles on <a href="http://www.247spares.co.uk/bmw">BMW parts</a> and <a href="http://www.legalstreets.com/bmw/">BMW cars</a> in general.
Source: www.ArticlePros.com

4 Ways to Get Out of Your Auto Lease
There are times when unforeseen circumstances may result in the need for an auto lease termination Whether it’s because of relocation, job loss or financial hardship if you need to get out of your vehicle lease there are options for you . .Check your lease agreement to see if there are any restrictions on terminating your auto lease Some lease companies will not allow you to terminate the lease in the first or last month of the lease contract . .Be sure you review all the lease termination options carefully as some are more costly then others . .1 Turn In The Lease Auto .You can simply return the lease vehicle to dealership before the lease expires You are responsible for the remainder of the lease payments as well as any excess mileage or excess wear and tear of the vehicle Since you are still on the hook for the remaining lease payments this may not be the best option for you if you are in a financial bind . .2 Repossess The Auto .In this situation you simply return the lease vehicle to the finance company and walk away without paying the remaining lease payments This is not a good option as it maybe a short term solution to a financial situation but the end result is a damaged credit score In the future you will be unable to obtain credit or will end up paying very high interest rates for credit products . .3 Auto Lease Buyout .If you have sufficient funds to purchase the vehicle, this maybe a good option for you You will have the option to keep the vehicle or re-selling it Depending on where you live sales taxes may need to be paid during the transaction . .4 Auto Lease Transfer .This is one of the most cost effective and popular ways of terminating an auto lease Check your ease agreement to see if there are any restrictions on vehicle transfers The process is quite simple Find someone who is credit worthy and willing to takeover the lease They pay a transfer fee and the lease vehicle is theirs .
Source: www.rsstnx.com

Igniting a Spark
Your Volvo has thousands of parts in it. Some play a crucial role in the car, while others do not. Some are used all the time, while some are needed only for a specific time. One of the latter is your Volvo’s ignition coil. Also called a spark coil, the ignition coil is an induction coil in the automobile’s ignition system. The Volvo ignition coil transforms a storage battery’s 12 volts into the thousands (which sometimes could reach as high as 120,000 volts) needed to ignite the spark plugs. Invented by A. Kent Atwater in 1921, the ignition coil is a simple transformer that has two sides: the 12 volt or primary side and the high voltage or secondary side. The primary side contains a few hundred turns of a large diameter wire and it builds up the magnetic field in the coils. On the other hand, the high voltage side contains thousands of turns of small diameter wire. The coil uses electromagnetic induction to create the high voltage. When the voltage in the primary side is turned off, the collapsing magnetic field in the secondary side induces a voltage in the secondary side, producing thousands of volts. In older vehicles, a single, large ignition coil would serve all the spark plugs, distributing voltage via an ignition distributor. In modern systems, the distributor is omitted and ignition is controlled electronically, instead. Much smaller coils are used with one coil for each spark plug or one coil serving two spark plugs (so two coils in a four-cylinder car). These coils may be remote-mounted or they may be placed on top of the spark plug (coil-on-plug or direct injection). Where one coil serves two spark plugs (in two cylinders), it is through the “wasted spark” system. In this arrangement, the coil generates two sparks per cycle to both the cylinders. The fuel in the cylinder that is nearing the end of its compression stroke is ignited, whereas, the spark in its companion nearing the end of its exhaust stroke has no effect. The wasted spark system is more reliable than a single coil system with a distributor and cheaper than coil-on-plug. Where the coils are remote mounted, they may all be contained in a single molded block with multiple high-tension terminals. This is commonly called a coil-pack. Your Volvo ignition coils are part of a larger system, which is the ignition system. The ignition system is part of an even larger engine system. The ignition system’s primary responsibility is the timely burning of the fuel-air mixture in the engine. Your Volvo user’s manual would carry the recommended service interval for your ignition system, including your Volvo ignition coil. Your Volvo engine might run rough, buck, surge, stall or even get poor fuel economy. These are signs that your ignition system might need servicing as they are potentially an ignition system problem. When this happens, drive to the nearest Volvo dealership and have a qualified technician take a look around. Your Volvo engine might be in problem in the long run.
Demystifying The Tire Sidewall Code
So, you need new tires for your car or truck, but how do you know what to buy? What do all those alphanumeric codes printed on the tire sidewalls mean, anyway? If you’re in the market for new tires, you may simply want to replace your worn tires with exactly the same tire it came with. But you MAY want to consider an upgrade. If you know how to read the tire sidewalls, chock full of valuable information, you’ve got an advantage over most people and are prepared to make an informed decision. So let’s get underway! Tire Size Markings (example: P215/65R15 89H) Broken down: P = Passenger Other designations are LT = Light Truck T = Temporary (spare tire) 215 is the width (in millimeters) of the tire from sidewall to sidewall. A wider tire has more grip but the bad news is that you lose fuel economy, hear more noise and the tires don’t work as well in the rain. 65 is the aspect ratio The aspect ratio is the ratio of sidewall height to tire width. With regards to aspect ratio, the larger the number, the taller the tire sidewall. Tall (60-75) is great for a quiet ride but causes howling in turns. Short (35-55) is better for handling–more for sports cars. R indicates Radial. This means it is constructed with a series of support belts sideways under the tread. Other designations include B for Belted Bias and D for Diagonal Bias The standard, and what you’ll see most often, is R. 15 is the wheel (or rim) diameter, in inches. 89 is the load index H is the speed rating Speed ratings indicate the top speed under ideal conditions. Higher-rated tires are usually made of softer rubber and will have shorter UTQG tread life. Here are a few of the more common speed ratings: R= 106, S=112, T=118, U=124, H=130, V=149, W=168, Y=186. Along with this speed rating, you have a load index which indicates the approximate weight the tire can carry. Some of the more common load weights are as follows: 85 = 1,135 pounds, 86 = 1,168 pounds, 87 = 1,201 pounds, 88 = 1,235 pounds. UTQG Ratings Passenger car tires are accompanied by a UTQG Rating (Uniform Tire Quality Grading, mandated by the Federal Government) which rates the tread life of tires by looking at tread wear, traction and temperature resistance. The UTQG Rating is usually found opposite the tire size markings and will be in three separate ratings: treadwear, traction and temperature. The treadware grade standard is 100. A grade of 200 means the tread would wear twice as well as a tire graded 100. Traction grades run from AA to C, with AA being the highest grade and C meaning the tire brakes poorly on both wet concrete and wet asphalt. Temperature grades rate the tire’s resistance to and ability to dispel heat. Those grades are A (resists heat well), B (not as good as A) and C (passes minimum safety standards.) Keep in mind that heavy loads, under-inflation of the tires, and high speeds can all affect the tire temperature. You should note that these tire grades rate tires measured under controlled conditions. Factors such as driving habits, road conditions, climate, etc., are not considerations and may affect the actual performance of your tire. DOT DOT (Department of Transportation) indicates the tire is in compliance with applicable DOT safety standards. Next to DOT is an identification or serial number–codes that designate where and when the tire was produced. You’ll also find other information on the sidewall such as the type and composition of the tire, the maximum cold inflation (PSI) and maximum load in pounds. So as you can see, tires carry a huge amount of information. But it’s really not all that complicated once you learn to read the code.

Understanding Your Auto Warranty
The auto warranty is something everyone thinks about when they are purchasing a car, but few of these people realize that they need to think about it after that as well. You go into a dealership, which convinces you to purchase an auto that is perfect for you. What seals the deal, in many cases, is the fact that the auto has an auto warranty on it. You think that they could not or would not offer a warranty on a product that wasn’t up to standards. So, you purchase your car and get your auto warranty. Regardless of the car, the make or model number, you simply shove that auto warranty into the glove box and call it done. But, what you need to do is to know what is covered on that warranty, what you need to do to get those services, and what you need to do to keep that warranty up to date. Getting the information that you need to make a decision about your auto warranty is also important. For many people, they may not even realize that they should read the thing! You would be surprised at what is and isn’t covered in that warranty. If you have one and you haven’t read it, dig it out and get going. What you will want to know first of all is what things it cover. Does the auto warranty cover things such as parts and oil changes? Does it cover the tires, brakes and the body work? Now that you know that, do you know what to do to get the services that it covers? Read on. Learn where you will need to go to get these services, if there will be any fee and what happens if you don’t go to the right location. Lastly, you also want to know about the auto warranty expiration date if there is one. In some cases, you may actually be able to increase that amount of time by purchasing a warranty extension. The auto warranty can offer many things after all.
truck mounted crane and liftgates review
Lift Gate Review June 19, 2007 Word count 1800Finally a new technology other then a wobbly old eye sore liftgate. Lets face it, a lot of us have used a lift gate at one point in time and they can make you feel quite uncomfortable with there jerking motion. For a long time you had only one choice , Tommy gates or Tommy lifts. finally there patent ran out and then their was maxon, leyman and many others to follow. Finally Ezy Lifts was invented. It is a unique Lift gate that requires no wheels under your load. It can also pull your load to you with its winch. The great thing is, you can actually put your load in your truck with one person. You can also load a pipe at 22ft long. This really gives you a hand over any lift gate. No ordinary lift can do this!Imagine , one man to a truck not two. That really is a money saver. Here is a real interview with a ex Halliburton Employee:Ezy Lift Ranks as a truck bed hoist and has been called many other names ( yes good ones). More and More people are understanding the importance and the versatility. I did a interview with a customer who was buying multiple pickup truck cranes, truck bed lifts, lift gates and ” truck mounted cranes”: Jeff Harden now President of Tomahawk Engineering in Athens, Texas said his decision was simple: When he worked for Halliburton He ran a big crew. He gave his workers the choice of a pickup truck crane , truck bed hoist, lift gate or an Ezy Lift. He said, “In just a few weeks it was obvious who the winner was! All the guys that had the lift gates , or hoist had to borrow the guys truck with a Ezy Lift at one point in time”.” All the guys that had the Ezy lift never once had to borrow the other guys trucks. The fact is , the Ezy Lift will do just to many other things the Regular lift gate will not”. No more waiting hours for a back hoe or cherry picker to remove my 800 lb drill bit. I can drop it anywhere I get my truck now, this has saved me hundreds of hours. It is a truck mounted crane that works like a lift gate only better. MUCH bette”r.Compared to Tommy gates or Tommy lifts The Ezy Lift out does them with weight in two categories. one it weighs less and two it lifts more weight. It also out does them in the field. Ezy Lift works with one person. Tommy gates and Tommy lifts require 2 people quite a bit. Another advantage is safety and the fact Ezy Lift can lift Long loads. Lifting a 12 ft pipe makes it 6 ft from middle to end. A lift gate there is now way to put anything that has to much weight sticking over the edge. The decision was simple. http://www.123lift.com Author Michael Harper About the author: Michael Harper has been an entrepreneur since his first landscaping business at age 11.He had his first Million dollar corporation at age 25.
Source: www.ArticlePros.com

Referential Events In The History Of The Chevy 350 Engine
Having a unique, robust design, developing an impressive power and achieving a great overall performance, the 350 (5.7) Chevrolet Engine has quickly entered in history as one of the best and most reliable original car engines ever manufactured. In fact, the entire Chevy 350 Engine series is extremely popular among car enthusiasts, rapidly transforming Chevrolet into one of the most desired and highly respected Hot Rods not only in the United States, but also in many different corners of the world. In only a matter of years, the great features characteristic to the Chevy 350 Engine have rendered Chevrolet a prominent and competitive brand, establishing new trends in designing and manufacturing car engines. Much of today s popularity and prominence regarding the Chevrolet brand in general is strongly related to the initial success of the Chevrolet 350 Engine, as well as its gradual evolution into better performing and more powerful engines. The Chevrolet 350 Engine is almost identical in shape and size with its successor, the 400 HP LS2 Engine, another well-performing engine that is still manufactured today in various places in the world. Although the first small-block was first manufactured and equipped on Chevrolets in 1955, and other later released, improved models in the series were more powerful and performed a lot better than the 350 model, the Chevy 350 Engine has somehow managed to become a lot more desired and respected than both its predecessors and successors. The Chevy 350 Engine is by far the most equipped Chevy small-block, being extensively installed in sports cars, station wagons and even heavy trucks! The first step into history made by the Chevrolet 350 Engine was registered in 1968, when it was first installed in the series models Chevrolet Camaro and Chevrolet Nova, at that time producing at most 300 horsepower for the high performance models. However, the Chevy 350 Engine was successfully embraced by many categories of car enthusiasts, winning the appreciation of both novice and experienced car owners and drivers. Considered to be a success, by 1969 the Chevrolet 350 Engine was also being installed in various other Chevy vehicle lines such as the magnificent Corvette. Around 1969, the Chevy 350 Engine also began to suffer various modifications that would further increase its performance. By 1992, Chevrolet has released the Gen II LT1 350 Engine in models such as Corvette. The Gen II Chevy 350 Engine produced the highest horsepower ever reached by any Chevrolet small-block model. By 1993, the Gen II LT1 350 is modified and also installed in the Fourth-Generation Camaro Z28 and Firebird Trans Am. In 1996, the upgraded Gen II LT1 350 Engine, referred to as the LT4, became available as an option in Corvettes, the upgraded version quickly becoming popular among the series fans. http://www.hiperformer.com/chevy350/ - Visit our Chevey 350 Engine Repair Guide & Availability now.

Online Sites Make Used Car Shopping A Breeze
Whether you are looking to buy your first car or scouting to replace your worn-down family car, the Internet is a great place to start your shopping. It’s quick, convenient and money-saving. These are just some of the reasons why you should do your used car shopping online. Instead of braving the inches of high snow to go used-car lot hopping in Denver, you can just go online and click away to shop for Denver used cars. Shopping for Denver used cars online saves you time and saves you money. A lot of time and effort are spared for the used car shopper. Instead of physically going from one dealership or used car lot to another, burning gallon after gallon of gasoline, all a shopper needs to do is to click on some buttons and type-in his or her desired vehicle specifications in search boxes. Listings appear, covering almost all car brands including, Toyota, Honda, Chrysler, Audi, GMC, and hundreds of other card brands. You can view pictures of your desired cars along with its specifications and compare them with each other. Shuttling from one site to another while comparing car details and specifications is fast and easy with online used car shopping. Most used car shoppers find that shopping online is convenient. From start to finish, the entire process can be completed online. From finding the right car, to comparing prices, to making an offer on the car, you can purchase your desired car entirely on the Internet and the only thing left for you to do is to pick up the car from the dealership. Even questions on Denver used cars can be raised and answered online, through messaging services or email. Financing is also available through the Internet. Applications can be submitted by filling out the online forms. Great deals on Denver used cars can be found online. Many used cars listed in online sites are prices considerable lower than their brand new counterparts. Not only this, some cars also come with certifications of some form. At the very least, they would have been reviewed by an independent agency. Be cautious, though, of those sites that may have biased reviews towards units carried by particular sellers. It would be worth the additional expense you have to shell out to get a comprehensive vehicle history from CARFAX. Through a used car’s vehicle identification number, CARFAX can check its database for all transactions and repairs that involve the particular vehicle. You can get information on previous damage caused by water or flood, fire, or accidents. Reliable customer satisfaction rating company ConsumerReports.org regularly publishes a list of cars that have ranked well in their used-car surveys. Their “Good Choices” list includes those cars that showed above-average performance in terms of safety, fuel-efficiency and affordability. Those in this list are categorized in terms of price. Used cars in the “Good Choices” list are priced at a general range of around $4,000 to $30,000. Those that performed well in the Consumer Report’s road tests are further clustered in the “Best of the Best” list. When you are looking for Denver used cars, look for cars that are listed under this category — that is, if your budget allows. If not, you can always settle for any of those other cars in the list that exhibit roadworthy performance and efficiency nonetheless.Brian Warner has been in the car sales industry for over 20 years, starting with Honda sales in 1988 after graduating from the University of Michigan with an MBA. From used car sales to sales management, to finance management and finally after owning his own Jeep/Dodge/Chrysler dealership, Brian Warner has seen it all when it comes to automotive sales. Currently Brian Warner has financed the opening of several online used car sales websites such as DenverCarZone.com, which focuses on <a href="http://denvercarzone.com">Denver used cars</a> and OmahaCarZone.com, which does the same for <a href="http://omahacarzone.com">Omaha used cars</a> - with both sites using a <a href="http://denvercarzone.com">cars auction</a> format.
Source: www.ArticlePros.com

10 Tips for Improving Fuel Efficiency
1] Slow Down On The highway Your car is optimized to drive at 40-60mph(80-100km/hr), when you drive 70-80+mph fuel efficiency drops by up to a whooping 33% . Yes 33% , that is not a typo. I had heard this before and thought it was an exaggeration, then I drove the new Chevrolet Cobalt which has a fuel efficiency gauge in it and I saw it first hand, what a surprise. Is it worth speeding to save 5 minutes off your commute to work so you can just get held up in city traffic? Between the lost fuel efficiency, the extra wear and tear on the car driving beyond optimized speeds and inherent safety concerns I will need a good reason to start speeding on the highway from now on. 2] Cruise In The City The same idea applies in city driving. Speeding up to make the next red light guzzles gas and is hard on your car. This can decrease fuel efficiency by 5%. Why hurry up just to make the next red light? Let’s face it, speeding in the city doesn’t get you anywhere’s faster. If you drive like a bat out of hell you might make an extra light or two and chop a mere 2-4 minutes off your commute assuming you make it there alive. I drive at sane speeds throughout the city while most others fly by me and hard brake at the next red light, I then pull up beside them or even pass them as I may not of needed to stop as the lights are usually synchronized for sane driving speeds not surprisingly (it also takes more gas to get back up to speed than to maintain it). So have some fun watching people fly by you and seeing them at the next red light knowing your car is much better off. 3] Tire Pressure Here’s one everyone can do easily. It only takes a couple minutes to check your tires pressure. Under inflated tires can result in 3% less fuel efficiency. 4] Link Your Trips/Errands Plan your trip to include as many destinations or errands as possible. Fewer trips means less cold starts, better fuel efficiency and less driving than multiple small trips. 5] Avoid Unnecessary Idling. You’re getting 0 mpg for this one. If you’re going to wait 5-10 minutes for a friend give your car and wallet a break. For those who live in colder climates this is a bigger issue. We all want our cars toasty warm in the winter time when we get inside. Today’s cars really only needs 30 second of idling to warm up even in cold weather, then 1-2 minutes of driving to get it fully warmed up. So bundle up and save yourself a bundle. 6] Maintain Your Car Inexpensive oil and air filter changes can boost your cars performance and increase your cars lifespan. A blocked air filter can decrease fuel efficiency by as much as 10% and a misfiring spark plug won’t help either. So try to follow your cars service manual.. It beats dealing with an unexpected major repair and major inconvenience.. 7] Monitor Your Fuel efficiency I like to measure how many miles / KM I get on half a tank after filling it up. It’s easier to measure this way as we don’t let our gas tanks completely run dry and its impossible to estimate how much was left when you fill it up again. You can see how your driving habits affect your fuel economy and if your habits haven’t changed and you fuel economy drops off, then maybe its time for some car maintenance. Purchasing a fuel consumption gauge (if you car doesn’t already have one) can give you real time feedback and more accurate reading. This provides great instant feedback on driving habits. 8] Remove Unnecessary Items From Your Car For each extra 100lbs you lose 1-2% fuel efficiency, so get the golf clubs out of the trunk until your next tee off time. Leaving items on your roof rack also creates extra drag which makes your car work harder, so lock your mountain bikes up till the next trip. 9] Jack Rabbit Starts Some people like to suddenly accelerate by putting their foot to the floor. This guzzles gas and gives marginal speed improvement to a gradual acceleration. 10] Back Off Tail gating results in unnecessary breaking and accelerating. Hang back a little more and you can avoid the added stress and save some gas. It’s also safer to drive this way, give yourself an extra second to avoid an accident ! Paul Fezziwig writes for and administers 'Green Cars Now', <a href="http://www.greencarsnow.com">http://www.greencarsnow.com</a> , a website devoted to promoting fuel efficient vehicles and driving habits.
Source: www.ArticlePros.com

How To Dispose Of Your Old ATV Tires
When it comes time to replace your old and worn ATV tires, many riders are eager to purchase new tires, but many are unaware what to do with the old ones. Regardless where you live, throwing old tires in a body or water or natural environment is improper?and in many cases illegal?since the tires can corrupt nature. When disposing of your old ATV tires, be sure to do so in a proper and legal manner that will not negatively impact the environment for future generations. More and more often, tires are being recycled and formed into all sorts of new products. From park benches to carpets, recycled rubber is a durable and economical product. When you are faced with the decision what to do with your old ATV tires, look to your local recycling company to see if rubber is accepted. Although you may not be able to place your tires to the curb if you community is involved with curbside recycling, the recycling plant may be able to take the tires off your hands. Look to the phonebook or internet to find a recycling facility near you and make a quick visit or telephone call to see if your tires are able to be recycled. Most tire stores that provide you with new tires for your ATV will be able to take your old ones. Before you make the change, be sure to ask the tire center what they do with old tires if you are concerned about the environmental impact unused rubber causes. Also, there may be a slight fee involved with properly disposing of your old tires, so know this amount upfront in order to prevent any surprises at the cash register. The state in which you live may have certain regulations or fees involving tire disposal, and this is often incorporated into your bill and is listed separately from the cost of the new tires or the labor to install the tires on your ATV. If your old tires still have life in them, consider giving them to a friend or family member with an ATV. Keep in mind that old tires should only be used if they still have ample tread and are able to ensure the vehicle can be driven safely. Also, consider selling your old ATV tires so that you can use the profits to buy a new set. Look to your local newspaper and list a classified advertisement or turn to the internet with sites like Ebay or Craigslist to sell your tires. These are great resources and you may even find a new set of ATV tires listed at a more economical price than offered at your local tire store.

First Time buyers, bad credit auto loans, bad credit car loans,no credit car laons
How to get approved when you have no credit. They teach a lot of things in schools but one thing they don t teach is how to get a loan when you don t have any credit. So picture this you 18 years old you just graduated from high school and you need to get a car so you get to collage and your job what do you do. Well you might think do I get a cosigner? Do I buy car cash? Do I go to every dealer in town to try to get a car loan? Well you if you have a cosigner then go ahead and use them, but if you don t what do you do? You need to go and pay cash or hope you don t get declined by every car dealer in town. You can do this be smart about starting you credit and make a plan before you run out their and make a mistake and get a car you can t afford on a interest rate that is to high and end up not be able to pay for it. If you want the best chance of getting approved you what to make sure you have got a job and have been on that job for at least 1 year. If you have been on your job for less than 1 year you are going to need a previous form of employment and preferable in the same field.Once you have figured out that a job is important to getting loans prepare yourself to prove your income. We you get ready to prove your income you need to have a computerized pay stub and maybe even a W-2 form from your previous one to two years income if you have been on your job that long. If you don t have a computerized pay stub then you need to get copies of you cancelled checks from payroll and or letter from your employer stating your start date on your job, position, and pay rate. Once you got the proof of income taken care of you need to make sure you have some money down. The more money that you have down the better chance you have of getting approved for a loan and also the lower payment you will have. When a bank lends to a first time buyer or a consumer with no credit they like to see some sort of investment on the consumer behalf. The banks feel that if a consumer is buying the car with no credit is willing to invest some of their hard earned money in the car that they apply for a loan for then they will be more like to pay for that car.Once you have got the down payment taken care of then you need to be reasonable about what type of car you are going to buy. This means a car around ten thousand dollars. Make sure the payment is around 15% percent of you gross monthly income. You may be able to get a little bit more expensive new vehicle through a first time buyer program with manufacture. One manufacturer that has a first time buyer program is Ford. If you need a reputable company to put you in touch with a dealer that can get you approved on a first time buyer program check out http://www.shotcredit.com.Best of luck getting your new or used vehicle hopefully you take you no credit to good credit instead of bad credit.
